The weekend that was….

Guys,

hola!!!!!i know its been a long time I posted something, so thought better late than never!!! This post is in tribute to the great weekend I had while travelling from New Delhi to Gangtok where my great luck made it sure that it would be one of the most memorable journeys I would ever have.

It all started when I booked my tickets in a summer special train to NJP from Delhi inspite of the repeated warnings given by my parents, bahni n his parents too. Nevertheless, bahni came to drop me to the railway station at around 10pm when the train was supposed to leave at around 11pm. The first shock was when we found that the name of the train was no where visible in the display board. Enquiring at the counter made us know that the departure had been delayed by 6 hrs. Perplexed, we had no other option than to come back silently to home. Reaching the railway station again at 4.30 in the morning the next day, it was not a happy sight to see the departure being delayed by 4 hours further. It was around 9am by the time the train started, already 10hrs behind schedule. If that seemed bad, by the time it reached NJP, the train was 26 hrs late which included a 6hr stop in the middle of a forest without any food or water to drink, nor in the bathrooms, no electricity in the train and so on.

After reaching NJP late at midnight, as I entered the waiting room, the lights went off. Darn! my great luck. Had to spend sweaty 4 hrs in the dark waiting room with my luggage before finally got a vehicle for gangtok at 4am. Reaching home and meeting my family almost made me forget all my troubles and pain I had endured in the past two days but the worst was yet to come. As I was so excited to show the pics of my training to my parents and opened my laptop, the inevitable happened……………..my laptop crashed!!!!!!!all whatever I had collected in the past 3 yrs had gone off in a whisker of a second. It really took me some time before I could ever forget this weekend!!
